Primary job function: Licensed substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan
Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Applicants must have a current license to counsel registered in the state of Arkansas LPC, LCSW, LMSW or LMFT preferred.
Experience in substance use disorder.
Must have or obtain current certification in CPR and First Aid
Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population

Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness is growing and in need of a licensed Mental Health Professional (LAC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW) with CADC or LADC to provide services to clients with substance abuse and addiction issue for our Hot Springs Out-Patient Clinic. Experience working with adults who have dual diagnoses in regards substance abuse and mental health is expected. Clinicians will be tasked to develop treatment plans, write comprehensive session notes, assess client progress and participate as a part of a multidimensional team focused on client wellness and recovery.
