Certified/Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor

Recovery Coach-Russellville/Clarksville, AR (with some travel to Morrilton, AR)

 

Harbor House, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Recovery Coach position in Russellville/Clarksville, Arkansas.  A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field is preferred.  Those with experience in behavioral health and knowledge of recovery are encouraged to apply.  Experience in substance abuse treatment may be substituted for education.

 

The person in this position will be responsible for individual and group sessions, intakes, service notes, master treatment plans, aftercare plans, transition plans and discharge summaries.  If applying for a Recovery Coach position in an outpatient clinic. Knowledge of electronic health records, confidentiality and HIPAA is preferred.

 

Some case management will be the responsibility of this position.  This may include coordinating appointments with outside agencies, transportation (if position is in an outpatient clinic) and assistance is identifying client values and barriers to recovery.

 

The ideal applicant will be either registered as a Counselor in Training (CIT) or already certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) with the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board (ASACB).  Knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing is preferred.  Solid organizational, time management and communication skills are necessary.

 

This is a salaried position with a substantial benefit package including 100% of employee health and vision insurance paid by HHI; paid vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays.  There is access dental insurance, life insurance and a 401K plan.

Certified/Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor

Position:  Applegate Recovery, addiction treatment programs deliver medically-supervised services for adults in a variety of modalities and settings. Primary job function:  Licensed substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment

Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination

Facilitates, establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment plan

Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints

Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans

Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics

Other related duties as determined by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a current license to counsel registered in the state of Arkansas LPC, LCSW, LMSW or LMFT preferred.

Experience in substance use disorder.

Must have or obtain current certification in CPR and First Aid

Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population

 

El Dorado, AR      Full Time Schedule: M-F 9a-5p (Saturdays by appointment only)
